Date: September 2-4, 2024
Venue: KNTEC office
Topic: Metabolism Research Workshop between Korea and Sweden
The 4th Korea-Nordic Strategic Seminar on Research Cooperation was held at the KNTEC office from September 2nd to 4th, 2024. This seminar was conducted under the topic of the “Metabolism Research Workshop between Korea and Sweden.”
Sweden, a global leader in metabolism research with institutions like the Karolinska Institute at the forefront, participated in this workshop to strengthen networking with Korea’s top researchers. The workshop provided an invaluable opportunity to share therapeutic approaches and strategies for controlling metabolism and aging, as well as to explore potential areas for joint research.
On the Korean side, four prominent researchers, including Professor Jae Bum Kim from Seoul National University and Professor Seung-Jae Lee from KAIST, participated in the workshop. Sweden was represented by over ten researchers from leading institutions, including Professor Anna Krook from the Karolinska Institute, along with experts from Lund University, University of Gothenburg, and Stockholm University. The event facilitated meaningful discussions, presentations, and the exploration of potential collaborative research projects.
We hope this seminar has further solidified the foundation for collaborative research and cooperation between Korea and the Nordic countries.
