Topic: Multiscale Regenerative Engineering

The Korea-Nordics Science and Technology Cooperation Center (KNTEC) hosted the 7th Strategy Seminar for Research Collaboration at KNTEC on November 4-5, 2024. This seminar focused on “Multiscale Regenerative Engineering,” with 13 researchers from Korea and Europe participating as presenters.
On the Korean side, presentations covered the current status of research on cell analysis platforms based on high-throughput devices and on microphysiological systems. They also included discussions on stem cell transplantation and regenerative engineering using biomaterials and synthetic materials. Researchers from Europe and Sweden presented recent advancements in immune modulation using novel materials and in vitro diagnostics utilizing microphysiological systems.
This seminar is expected to strengthen networking among mid-career and leader-level researchers in regenerative medicine, biomaterials, and tissue engineering fields from Korea and Europe, paving the way for future collaborative opportunities, including potential participation in Horizon Europe.
