본 프로젝트는 다수의 이해관계자 논의와 국제 컨소시엄 협력을 통해 센터의 미션, 운영 및 재원 모델을 제시하며, 책임 있는 AI의 미래를 함께 만들어가기 위한 공동의 출발점을 마련합니다.

This report presents the results of a preparatory project to establish a Nordic-Baltic AI Center focused on applied and responsible AI adoption. In 2023, the Nordic Ethical AI Expert Group recommended the creation of a Nordic Centre for Responsible AI to support businesses, policymakers, and society in developing and using AI responsibly. This project takes the first concrete steps toward realizing that vision.

The Nordic region, the world’s 11th largest economy, combines strong technological capabilities with a long tradition of collaboration. The proposed center aims to serve as a hub for policy support, joint strategy development, data infrastructure, AI skills, and transparency around sustainable AI.

Built on extensive stakeholder engagement and cross-border collaboration, the project outlines the center’s mission, governance, activities, and funding model, laying the foundation for a shared Nordic-Baltic approach to responsible AI leadership.
