On August 21-22, 2024, the Korea-Nordic Science and Technology Cooperation Center(KNTEC) successfully hosted the 1st Korean-Nordic Next Generation Leader Workshop at our office, in collaboration with YKAST.

The workshop, themed “Young Innovators in Nanotechnology: Pioneering the Future,” brought together 13 researchers from Korea and the Nordic countries.

The event kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony led by Heewoong Park, Head of KNTEC, and  Young Keun Kim, Chair of YKAST. Throughout the workshop, we held two focused sessions on “Nano-Electronics and Optics” and “Nano-Energy and Healthcare,” fostering insightful discussions and idea exchanges.

Participants shared that the workshop provided a valuable opportunity to identify collaborative research areas and build future research networks between Korea and the Nordic countries.
