The Korea–Nordics Science and Technology Cooperation Center (KNTEC), together with the Basic Science Networking Center (BSNC), successfully hosted the 2nd RISING Workshop on September 10–11, 2025.

The workshop, focused on Life Sciences and Biomaterials, brought together 14 researchers from Korea and the Nordic countries, including researchers from institutions such as Seoul National University, KAIST, Karolinska Institute, and Stockholm University.

The event began with welcome remarks by Heewoong Park, Director of KNTEC, and Prof. Cheolmin Park from Yonsei University, and proceeded with four dedicated sessions on Genomics and Epigenomics, Biomaterials and Bioelectronics, Microbiome, and Immunology.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in lively discussions about their own research, exchanging perspectives and insights across diverse scientific topics. They shared that the workshop offered a meaningful opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen connections between Korean and Nordic researchers.
