On February 22, 2025, the Korea-Nordics Science & Technology Cooperation Center (KNTEC), led by Director Heewoong Park, co-hosted the 4th Young Researcher Career Forum in Helsinki, Finland, in collaboration with the Society of Korean Scientists and Engineers in Finland (KOSES), chaired by Dr. Myeong-Jo Son.

The event brought together more than 20 young researchers, including master’s and doctoral students, as well as postdoctoral researchers currently studying and conducting research in Finland. Distinguished speakers included Professor Young-Beom Kim (University of Helsinki), Dr. Kyung Min Lee (Finnish Museum of Natural History), and Dr. Myeong-Jo Son (NAPA), who shared their experiences, challenges, and opportunities in developing their research careers in Finland. The forum also provided a meaningful platform for networking among attendees and speakers.

KNTEC is committed to expanding such forums across Nordic countries to support the growing community of young Korean researchers in the region. By fostering career development and strengthening networks, KNTEC aims to empower these researchers to establish themselves in their fields and play a central role in future Korea-Nordic scientific and technological collaboration.
