Date: September 28-30, 2025
Venue: MAX IV Laboratory, Sweden
Topic: 2nd Korea-Sweden Advanced X-ray Science Symposium: Pushing the boundaries of X-ray imaging with coherence
From September 28 to 30, 2025, the 2nd Korea–Sweden Advanced X-ray Science Symposium was held at MAX IV Laboratory in Lund, Sweden. Researchers from both countries gathered to share new results and discuss future research collaboration.
The event began with welcome remarks by Professor Hyunjung Kim (Sogang University) and Heewoong Park (Director of KNTEC), followed by presentations from Dr Aymeric Robert and Professor Joachim Schnadt of MAX IV on the lab’s vision and ongoing developments.
Researchers from institutions including Sogang University, Korea University, Pohang Accelerator Laboratory, and MAX IV Laboratory participated, and during the symposium, presentations covered topics such as coherent and full-field imaging, dark-field methods, advanced spectroscopy, and novel microscopy.
We hope this symposium strengthens collaboration on advanced X-ray science and fosters enduring research networks between Korea and Sweden.
